I suppose there’s something about being upset that makes us more reflective. I kept diaries, though I wasn’t very regular with them. Sometimes I tried my hand at poetry, other times I wrote quotes of my own. I believe my love for writing was closely linked to my passion for reading, but I tried to keep my writings as original as possible. Back in school, I was a bit of a lone wolf. I had good friends, but I didn’t hang out with them much. My best companion was books. I read voraciously. I loved diving into the stories, or more accurately, into the author’s imaginary world.
